Vander is holding him the way he used to and mouths a trail of apologies down his shoulder when he has to get up. -- oh yay i had it. this is from 5k #2 which will go up mid-month or whenever i have the stomach

It's Wednesday & this is apparently the 330th time we've played the word game! 😳 Today's word is... ✨ TRAIL ✨ Find the word in any WIP & share the sentence containing it. All writers welcome. #wordgamewednesday

Today, August 4, 2026, is the setting of Ray Bradbury’s short story “There Will Come Soft Rains” about a fully automated house continuing on after the family who lived there and the world around it died in a nuclear blast.

to the person in the nu:c feed (replies are off & I don't want to quote) asking about Aster's name origin, I believe it comes from Chinese 艾斯特 (Ài sī tè). the game is made by a Taiwanese developer. Dante's original name is 啖天 (Dàn tiān)

thanks @ the rest of the plot coming to me at midnight while i was still awake rather than at 3am when i would've played the "i'll remember it in the morning" game

delighted to announce that two one-word fics came in today! these creative fills rely on their titles/tags and summary for full context. we love them but they can't be archived on AO3, unfortunately. I will have them in the 2026 list of works at the end of the event!

*happily typing away* character: we kiss here me: no you don't get together for a few years in this one character: we kiss here me: look this is hard on me too

this prompt I wrote a year ago is funnier/sadder in the context of my new fandom which does, indeed, have a letter that was never received

screencap of a prompt on AO3. an important letter that was never received, submitted by museaway on January 15, 2025.

A critical piece of information was contained in a letter that was never received. Did it blow out of the mailbox? Or was it stolen? Was the address incorrect and it's being returned to the sender?? Whatever the reason, someone hasn't received it.

I am pledging to be more selfish and do things I want to do rather than do things for other people. I really think this is going to make me happier
