In light of some magazines pulling scummy things on creators lately, I’m doing a little thread on short story rights. I don't want anybody getting taken advantage of. Also, if you're new, this stuff can be confusing!

I have to flip over to the Discover tab to see people I follow since they don't often show up in Following. Now I'm also getting artsy, sexy pics in that feed and I don't know what I did to make that happen. It's not bad, but I did find out while procrastinating at my library. Which was unfortunate

Filed a claim, been running around to different places and now im about to treat myself to some diner food then sell my plasma like a good capitalist. The kindness of these auto repair people is whats keeping me going.

Well a beer, half a trivia night, and witnessing a man gun 4 or 5 drinks before going on a first date helped the bad mood. Shout out to the woman i played trivia with who was splendid to talk to and invited me to her wedding if she ever has one. I cant wait.

And this is how I learned that Danny Trejo has declared bankruptcy and Harvey Keitel might not know he's in a pro-N*zi propaganda film? I didn't see any cited sources but like are these two guys okay? Or are they just monstrous in their 80's?

Danny Trejo and Harvey Keitel are hard at work on the new Daily Wire movie that dramatizes (positively) the murder of Renee Good, do with this what you will www.latimes.com/delos/story/...

I'm not the person to do it, but there's a running trend of fatphobia in American poetry as well that needs noting. Specifically uses fatness and weight as metaphor for evil, disgust, dirty, unclean. I'd like to see less of this in all writing.

it was important for me to call this out. King, though I love him, has been getting away with nakedly hateful fatphobia for half a century now and the majority of readers seem to have handwaved it, but I can't. (a shout out to @megelison.bsky.social, though, who's been banging this drum for years)

I liked this brief article about Battlestar Galactica and have so many opinions about this show after rewatching it recently. While I think these episodes are great they PALE in comparison to the Pegasus eps. Those episodes go hard and stay intense throughout. www.inverse.com/entertainmen...?

20 Years Ago, The Best Sci-Fi Show Of The Century Went Darker Than Ever Before

With its Season 3 debut, 'Battlestar Galactica' dropped one of its most hardcore episodes, ever.

Okay what I really want is the Chicago Pope eating a hot dog or italian beef, giving an interview that says fuck a lot, uses the "eehhhh", and ends with him saying go Sox while wiping his face with a tissue thin napkin so his face opens like the Scream painting. Then i might go back to church.
