😮 Trump's nominees are the most pathetic men in the world 😮 During a hearing, Blumenthal made Trump nominees squirm by asking them who won the 2020 election -- a question they refuse to answer -- but then Schiff upped the ante by asking them *who won the 2016 election.* Here's a supercut:

Trump is trying to pull off a US-style version of the Tiananmen Square Massacre coverup where everyone in China who remembered what happened on June 4, 1989 knows *exactly* what they must not admit and is utterly terrified to speak the truth. I never imagined seeing such abject cowardice in the US.

"Pirro clearly wanted to spare herself any further scrutiny by the courts, but her motion to dismiss is comically inept, an attempt to paper over the fact her office charged Hearn based only on Trump's fevered imaginings. All it does is highlight how much she was willing to lie in the first place."
Jeanine Pirro crashes into the limit of Trump's lies
It's one thing to bullshit on Fox. It's another to lie in court.

I believe you can see this guy slowly realizing where Schiff was going.
holy shit -- Schiff ties Trump's judicial nominees in knots by asking them who won the 2016 before *before* asking them who won in 2020, which results in them sounding like election deniers about Trump's victories!

Preferable to what we have now, which is pedophilia for everybody.

As @kevinmkruse.bsky.social noted, this was the cover of the pro-free-market, not-progressive Economist one month before the election that brought Trump back to power. The economy had problems, hence the result, but a “total catastrophe” it was not.
Trump: "When we took office, we inherited a total catastrophe"
Trump in Nevada: "Vote for Michael Whatley, by the way" (Whatley is running in North Carolina)
Trump in Nevada on Iryna Zarutska: "You remember Willie Horton? This was Willie Horton, modern day. And that governor shouldn't be allowed to run for governor. Michael Whatley should be your governor." 🥴
Watching this catastrophe unfold live so the rest of us only have to digest 15-20 sec clips? @atrupar.com is doing God’s work while I sit here contemplating a full digital detox.😣 Give the man some combat pay at Venmo (@atrupar) or subscribe to publicnotice.co

The most glaring double standard in American politics today is that if a Democrat said 1/10th about GOP-leaning areas what this guy says about cities on the daily there'd be a media dogpile so swift and vicious there'd be nothing left of their bones for the hyenas to pick at.
Trump: "You see it in the blue states run by Democrats -- everything is filthy dirty all the time. The cities stink The sidewalks are loaded w/horrible stuff. I don't want to use the term bc my wife hates it. She hates it when I imitate no men in women's sports, when I do the weightlifter."

“The Reflecting Pool mess is different from other Trump obsessions because it reveals just how immune to evidence and logic his beliefs have become, even when a trusted lieutenant wheels an entire box of supporting evidence into the Oval Office.”
