Classroom/Library enrollment was down pretty bad in February. National chaos and uncertainly likely has something to do with it. Can you help me make sure that all the educators on bluesky know Skype a Scientist exists and is ready to connect them with scientists? Every RT helps! #EduSky #STEMEd

Hi! We're Skype a Scientist! We're a free program that matches scientists with classrooms, scout troops, libraries, & other groups for Q&As all about science. Get matched with a scientist for a virtual conversation! We have 30+ types of scientist & match weekly. www.skypeascientist.com/sign-up.html

A blue infographic gives a step by step guide on how to Skype a scientist. The steps are: 1) sign up on skypeascientist.com 2) pick a category of science your group would like to talk about (e.g. marine biology, chemistry, astronomy) 3) get a match via email 4) connect with your scientist, discuss your ur group’s needs and pick a time to chat 5) talk to your scientist!

But really, you have so many resources at your fingertips with a library card. Our district doesn't just offer books, music, and videos. You can get help finding a job, use a 3-D printer or our DMPL, take a class, check out a health kit, get a pass to our state parks, and more! It's all free.

I'm starting a new adventure. Our library district just offered me a job as a YPL Children's Services Assistant. It's part-time, only three days/week. I'm really excited to be working with kids, and with the librarians who interviewed me. And I'll still have time to write.
