ICE is leasing 42,000 square feet of warehouse space in Newburgh, NY. Newly released contracting records reveal ICE committed $35.5 million to lease the site at 800 Corporate Blvd for the next 15 years. The facility is owned by NRDP, with Houston-based Leverage Enterprise Inc. managing the contract.

Recently, Mamdani went to Rikers' graduation ceremony to talk up how NYC was committed to all the folks on Rikers thriving (I know...), & how much they had to offer to NYC. Meanwhile, he's breaking promises about library funding, & the NYPL is now cutting folks on Rikers off from library services.

Federal sentencing has started. Zachary Evetts was just sentenced to 50 years by Chief District Judge Reed O'Connor. Maricela Rueda was just sentenced to 840 months / 70 years by Judge Mark Pittman.
