So this is good and probably necessary, I just hope it's actually sufficient. I can't tell if all the worst voices in this race are even in Michigan (I'm not! Look at me being part of the problem!), but the whole thing has just been some of the dumbest bickering. I worry about the general.

Ok so Avatar Aang: The Last Airbender was actually pretty good. Loved seeing the Gaang again. And as a (not that serious) Zutara shipper, the joke about it was good, and I'm glad that Aang and Katara finally got the romantic chemistry they deserve. But now I just want a whole season...

I still remember when they did this with The Acolyte. Many of the "reviews" were AI-written. The big tell was that they were using old rumors or descriptions of things that eventually got changed in filming as sources. Completely different character names, story beats that didn't yet happen, etc.

A bunch of right-wing chuds writing "reviews" of the Odyssey and still slamming the casting of Elliot Page "as Achilles." He doesn't play Achilles (which should have been obvious the whole time cause Achilles is DEAD by The Odyssey). But yes tell me about this movie you TOTALLY saw for real!

Actually that was the Republicans who did that. And voters who were stupid enough to give them power again instead of voting in more Democrats who could actually get any kind of reforms through the House and Senate. We had 2 years of what was essentially a 48 person "majority" in the Senate.

biden's failure managed to simultaneously destroy every achievement of the Warren court, the civil rights era, the administrative state, NATO, liberal internationalism, and what remained of Reconstruction. he deserves to be buried in an unmarked grave.

Yeah I remember when I was a Republican, too, and thought "giving people assistance just makes them lazy and dependent on the government and they'd be better off if they pulled themselves up by their bootstraps". Thank God I grew out of that shit.

Second, if you do creative accounting to link millions of deaths to USAID cuts, you can also show loss of GDP from aid dependence. That extra GDP would easily afford whatever aid provides

I think one of my "favorite" takes is <thing> is/was horrible, corrupt, and irredeemable, so we should replace it with an institution that does <the exact same thing>". Usually this happens with police and prisons from the left, and immigration and ACA takes from the right. Now with USAID!
