A huge thank you to everyone who came along and helped make Social Night such a fun evening. Special shout-out to @davemomi.bsky.social and @claraweber.bsky.social for organising the event! Here’s to the conversations and connections that make OHBM special!
Excited to be here at #OHBM2026! 🧠 Come and chat with me about our recent paper on DTI-ALPS in LBD, at poster 0203 on Monday and Tuesday! Looking forward to connecting with new and old faces
Pleased to share our new paper in Alzheimer’s Research and Therapy, as part of the collection on Advances in LBD research! We found that DTI-ALPS was reduced in DLB and PDD relative to PD and controls. DTI-ALPS was also further reduced for DLB versus PD link.springer.com/article/10.1... (1/3)
Diffusion tensor imaging analysis along the perivascular space suggests impaired glymphatic clearance in Lewy body dementia subtypes - Alzheimer's Research & Therapy
Alzheimer's Research & Therapy - Parkinson’s disease dementia (PDD) and dementia with Lewy bodies (DLB) are subtypes of Lewy body dementia (LBD) and overlap in symptoms and pathology....

Really excited to share first published paper of the year! Thank you to @uclbrainscience.bsky.social for highlighting: www.ucl.ac.uk/brain-scienc.... We found different organisational changes in Lewy body disease patients with dementia versus those with intact cognition, using structural gradients.
UCL researchers uncover distinct brain changes in Parkinson’s and Lewy body dementia
UCL researchers have used advanced brain imaging to uncover the distinct brain changes between people with Parkinson’s disease and Lewy body dementia, opening the door to more targeted treatments

Great to see this published @movedisorder.bsky.social movementdisorders.onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/10.1002/...: We found that DTI-ALPS (a proposed indirect proxy for glymphatic clearance) is lower in Parkinson's patients who progress to poor cognitive outcomes, and correlates with cognition. 1/2
Impaired Glymphatic Clearance, Measured Using Diffusion Tensor Image Analysis Along the Perivascular Space (DTI‐ALPS), is Linked to Poor Cognitive Outcomes in Parkinson's Disease
Background Impaired glymphatic clearance may contribute to pathological accumulations in Parkinson's (PD), but how it interacts with other processes causing dementia remains unclear. Diffusion tenso...

Pleased to share our new work. Black communities face higher Parkinson’s disease burden, but we know they remain underrepresented in research. We highlight the key barriers - distrust, stigma, and accessibility - and offer community-driven recommendations to increasing research engagement.
