Cato has published my comprehensive review of the ~240 Venezuelans the US government renditioned 2 months ago to Salvador’s notorious prison. We identified FIFTY who came legally, never violated any immigration law, but are imprisoned at the US government’s request and at US taxpayer expense.

None of the 278 men sent to CECOT have been returned. Meanwhile their lawyer has been arrested and "disappeared" in El Salvador.

ICE threatening charges against people for asking supposed officers to show their badges is weakness. Not succeeding where they hoped to, left relying on threats that likely won’t go anywhere in court (harassment isn’t nothing, but it’s limited). It’s a sign to resist their abuses more, not less.
