It's funny because our PS1 was more than capable of running my bust a groove rip-- one of the best benchmarks for testing burn quality/laser health imo-- but got tripped up by RPG Maker of all things
We went to play the PS1 version of RPG Maker but our copy was so scratched it stopped working after loading the main menu once I burned a backup, used tonyhax, and was able to load the main menu consistently but not the demo game. (...)
Tiger and I have been working on reviving our retro gaming setup recently. Today, I plugged in one of my OG Xboxes and got a fun little jumpscare when it decided to rapidly turn on and off without pressing power. So here's your reminder to replace the capacitors in your old consoles!

I do not need to watch explicit video evidence of ICE detaining or executing people in the streets to confirm that they are in the wrong, because I accept no narrative justification for the state sanctioned disappearance, torture, or murder of civilians.
These kinds of warning screens are not enough. They DO NOT absolve you of the responsibility you have. You still have to put in the work of making your game accessible as much as possible. Sometimes, these warning screens go by too fast to even be read anyhow. (Arknights looking at you.)

Putting up a basic warning at the start of your game simply isn't enough. You need to take accessibility seriously as a publisher and developer.
