I met a man earlier who told me when he was young his gran would send him to the library in town to pick two books for her (Mills & Boon) and two for him, and when he came home she had dinner made and then they read together, each in an armchair. A lovely gift I thought, from a foresightful woman.
Back to the other world tomorrow, a day of lashing rain today after a last morning in Robert’s Cove, bobbing and grateful. I enjoyed every moment at Myrtleville, and hope you have a moment this summer when you feel similarly at peace.
