This hurts. When my mom brought me here as a kid to America, we arrived as asylum seekers. Long story short, one of the channels she regularly turned on for me was PBS- I watched Sesame Street every day alongside Mister Roger's Neighborhood. That helped me learn English and form a sense of empathy.
