It looks like Iolla is coming to Aberdeen! I’ve been a convert since I first found out about them a few years ago, but I’ve never been a fan of the trip down to the nearest branches in the central belt. Actually nice designs, and very well priced, especially if you have a bad prescription

Processed a few rolls through NegPy, a relatively new piece of software that looks very promising and is free (I’ll drop something into the developer’s Ko-Fi link though). Only used it with B&W rolls so far but it’s intuitive, not too slow and yields decent results. github.com/marcinz606/N...

So, a couple of weeks after finding out and getting the pariah treatment on gardening leave, I finished up on Wednesday from the role I’ve held for a decade. Got a chance to discuss it at length with my manager, team and others I’ve known for years there, felt a little less awful by the time I left.

It's one year since the Tall Ships Races stopped off in Aberdeen. What a weekend that was! You can get a flavour of it over the next few days by taking part in the Festival of the Sea!

I’ve had a few months off social media, it’s been a strange time. Here’s the lowlights: 1. My grandfather had a bad fall at home and later died in hospital from his injuries. Been working since to wind up the estate and sell his house, he lived at the other end of the country so it’s complicated
