The standard in the industry is that for a film to break even, it has to double its production budget to cover stuff like marketing (even though marketing is non existent these days.) So what is Disney actually doing? Who is handling these finances to a point that nealry $400 million is not enough?

Pixar has been hit the hardest on Disney’s round of layoffs. TheWrap reports that ‘Hoppers’ is partially being blamed for the layoffs as the film was shy of breaking even at the box office after making $389.5M against a $150M budget.
