Business owner, Mum, Labour. Let’s virtually socialise with good humour again like the good ol’ days!
a friend in govt in Australia told me the Oz social media ban is not really aimed at current teenagers .. its aimed at enabling parents to keep the next wave of children off social media. So its aimed at 5 year olds not 15 year olds..
Well done @iandunt.bsky.social for not letting Reform cllr Alex Wilson take the high ground for what Farage did.
It’s over. Jess Phillip’s letter has done it for me. It’s done.
If it’s Streeting vs Starmer the membership won’t go for Streeting. The left will put up a mad candidate and they’ll win. It’s going to be Corbyn mark 2 😭🤦🏻♀️
The cabinet are omniously quiet so expect resignations this evening. Wes first? We’re going to end up with John McDonnell as PM aren’t we? 🤦🏻♀️
Richard Burgon has turned on Catherine West. It’s all falling apart.
Question: what’s the 1 or 2 things Starmer or a new leader could come out and say that could change things? (I suspect he won’t it’ll be more “further and faster” stuff) Energy bill cap? Fuel duty freeze? I haven’t heard one person say anything they could do that would suddenly be more popular.
Richard Tice had a shocker on Kuensberg. Starting crying about the establishment media bullying Reform 🎻
So Catherine West backtracks a bit and says she’s waiting now until after the Prime Minister gives his speech before asking for MPs to back her.
Rayner replaces Starmer. Media: ShE’s A GinGEr ThiCKo who DoeSNT pay TAX. Milliband replaces Starmer. Media: WE ALREADY rejecTeD HiM ONcE the BACOn BuffoON. Streeting replaces Starmer. Media: MANDELSON LOVING BLAIRITE!! Starmer being dull seems a bit of a pathetic reason really doesn’t it?!
Catherine West? Literally no one has heard of her. Well either she’s a stalking horse for other leadership challengers or Labour MPs will put her back in her box. Probs the former though so looks like we’ve got months of pointless leadership debates ahead 🙄🙄🙄
I’m old enough to remember Tony Blair losing 1200 council seats in 1999 to that guy Hague who went on to win the next election…….oh no wait.
Reform has basically replaced the Tories in Suffolk. Winning 41 seats. Tories down 40, with nine held.
So far results looking bleak for Labour in the North East but overall not quite as bad nationally as some forecasts predicted. Reform gains largely in line with national poll share. Tories doing least badly in London. Greens making significant gains but not yet the big breakthrough some predicted
Morning. Turquoise seas out there I see. Shit But perhaps not as bad as it could be 🤷🏼♀️
I wish my local Labour Cllrs had at least tried to convince me to vote for them. But nothing. Never saw them, don’t hear much from them. Only saw one opposing a development in the area. Depressing. Be better.
Well it’s probs gonna be a shitshow of politics over the next few days. See you on the other side.
Reading a lot of Green Party leaflets over the weekend it struck me how many of the policies being promised are identical to Labour ones. Not just locally, but policies literally made possible by the Labour government’s legislation.
Vote Reform. Or we will house *dangerous migrant centres* in your village. And if you vote Green, it will be even worse for you. It's beyond disturbing. The chill wind of threat, thuggery and menace of a kind never before seen in Britain.
On the BBC, Kemi Badenoch seems to be arguing that the pro-Palestine march later this month should be banned, but that the Tommy Robinson-organised far right march planned for the same day should be allowed to go ahead.
Kemi Badenoch goes on BBC and defends Tommy Robinson and his marches. She’s picked a side then.
