You'd be surprised how many urban, local, small businesses are owned by people living in the suburbs & exurbs. Never assume a "local" business is owned by someone living in your city or neighborhood.

Not to worry: police misdeeds aren't just a Minneapolis or Minnesota or United States thing. In NI (Northern Ireland, UK), the PSNI (Police Service of Northern Ireland) apparently spied on journalists, & arrested filmmakers documenting police collusion with — guess what? — Nazi-adjacent fascists.

They focused on public health, tourism and city history. After the hearing, Mayor Frey confirmed to MPR he’s in favor of repealing the ban, but says it’s not a top priority for him.
Based on years of research and a tremendous amount of internal emails between companies & police departments, we put out a report about 1. how companies are using shady tactics to sell surveillance tech, and 2. how they manufacture effectiveness numbers that get regurgitated by local press.
