Gut reaction is this is a good trade because despite how much I liked Franklin last deadline the Nats really don't need outfielders and they do need pitchers. I'll have to look into Glassey more.

Matt Gelb@mattgelb.bsky.social · 3d agoDon Mattingly said the plan is for Bryce Harper to play RF, Alec Bohm to play 1B and Bryson Stott to be at 3B. Luis Arraez will be here Tuesday. Mattingly said the Phillies will have to “ease” Harper into right field, and it’s unclear how they will do that.

I agree with Flax that García Jr. makes sense to deal since he's close to free agency and they have other options, but it's still weird to think you must trade for 45 and 40 FV prospects or else you're a failure.
