Punisher: War Zone wasn't the last non-MCU Marvel movie, but its 2008 release is a jarring split in the timelines. The pulpiest of comic book movies. Essentially Frank Castle as Jason Voorhees on a bit of a guilt trip, with a villain to match the brutality. Still one of my favourite Marvel films.

Saw The End of Oak Street. It is going to be another divisive David Robert Mitchell movie (for different reasons) and that's fine. Amblin-aping schmaltz and grit does the trick for me. I'd take twenty of those filmed like this over another Jurassic World, that's for sure.
