Had to stop watching a BL recently because one actor looks just enough like my cousin to make it uncomfortable and I just could not get through the NC. So, yeah, sorry to that guy, but I won't ever be able to watch anything he's in without thinking of my cousin.

I don't know who needs to hear this, but it's okay to look up words you don't know in a dictionary while reading books of any level. Understanding the words you read will only help. Even if it feels embarrassing not to know something, don't let that feeling stop you from seeking out knowledge.

Btw, you should know I never use terms like alpha beta omega to describe rank in my werewolf/shifter fiction, because to me those terms have come to belong in omegaverse now 😂 They're not used for real wolf packs, anyway. So basically, the leader of the pack is just the leader, not the alpha 😂

I think the ability to willingly sit down and work on problems that require mental energy and thinking for a prolonged period of time, without AI and dopamine hits, will be extremely valuable in the coming decades. Those who can do that will have a huge advantage over those who can't.

I've never seen such an effort to censor a document as I have the Amnesty International report on gender critical groups because of JK Rowling. They removed the report from the Wayback Machine and now I got a DMCA strike on my Google Drive for having it. It was deleted and removed from my account.

re: back to school Recommend adults over 30 read textbooks meant for 16-17 year-olds today to see what they're being taught. And get whiplash by how different things are from when you went to school. This book just mentioned people will lose jobs to AI and nobody knows which jobs will be stable.

While the paragraph on trans people in this social studies book isn't offensively incorrect, it's very short, and immediately following the lgbt section up with a gender roles section that states "only women can give birth to children" comes across as a bit invalidating of the trans section to me.
