Thing is, it would have been so, so easy to wash this stink off. Trans people and & progressives are desperate for hope. I think people would have been very willing to give him a chance to start fixing this, and quite a lot of grace in the meantime. But apparently, even a symbolic change too much.

As I suppose is not surprising if one has followed me, I am massively pro-self-promotion for people's work. If you don't think your work is worth other people seeing it then don't do it. On the flipside if it was worth doing then it is worth trying to get people to read. So: if it exists promote it.
