I think the sell is slightly misleading. The way I read it, if nobody changed lanes then everything would move faster. But if you change lanes only the people behind you suffer, and you might do better. Bit like a prisoners dilemma except you’re trying to go on holiday...

Chip's new byline is mildly amusing by 'newspaper humour' standards. However he writes "there is no heroic Odysseus in this tale", but goes on "Jess Wilson, after persuading surviving crew members to lash her to the mast of a listing ship, charted a course home", clearly casting her as Odysseus.🙄
