Spent all day in Vancouver riding around on a rented e-bike and I gotta say: riding around a city on an electric bike on good protected bike infrastructure is just about the most fun you can have with your pants on.

The thing about ripping out bike lanes is it doesn't stop us from biking, it just makes it more dangerous. And if I feel unsafe, I take the lane.

"before you jump into my inbox in all caps, please ask yourself this: If I were to step into a crosswalk and be struck by a vehicle, would I prefer that vehicle to be an e-scooter, or an F-450? Answer that question honestly, and adjust your outrage accordingly" 🎤🫳 www.nsnews.com/opinion/opin...

Opinion: Cars are the biggest threat on the road, not kids on e-scooters

All the outrage we feel about teens weaving on e-bikes and scooters would be better spent figuring out how to keep massive motorized vehicles away from all other road users

A premier at war with cyclists, municipalities apathetic to clearing lanes in winter and police now violent with people harmlessly rolling a stop sign. 'Bout time I move back to help the fight...

Video of what appears to be multiple @tps.ca officers tackling & arresting a cyclist during a stop sign trap on the MGT. Cyclist - "What did I do wrong?" Cop - "You didn't stop." If true, this is excessive use of force for a traffic stop. Mayor Chow & @ausmalik.bsky.social plz look into this.

On Tuesday June 2, council will vote on the new Vision Zero Safe Mobility Plan. This plan is GREAT. (Details in 🧵below). But we don't know if it will pass and we need your help! Please take a minute to email council & sign up to speak if you're able: visionzerovancouver.ca/2026/05/26/s...

Tell Council: Pass the Safe Streets Plan!

We need your help to show Vancouver council that passing the road safety plan on Tuesday, June 2 is an urgent priority for the city.

I ran into a couple with rented bikes looking at a big folded map of Vancouver's bike network. They happen to be from the Netherlands, just outside Amsterdam. I asked them how they liked cycling around our city. They said "it's so wonderful!" Made my day 🚲 😎
