Well, here it is, FOTNS mahjong set. Ken's line here is "You've already busted," and the box is covered with other HNK lines rewritten with some serious groaner series-themed mahjong puns, incomprehensible unless you're a huge nerd for both things. "I did it again... even though I hate chombos..."

I picked this Nadesico volume at the bargain manga pop-up and discovered it held a little surprise...

With today being the actual day "There Will Come Soft Rains" by Ray Bradbury takes place, I was going to share the haunting Soviet adaptation – only to find that version takes place later this year on December 31. That should be a fun way to welcome the new year.

Modest haul from Otakon this year, but a nice mix. (Details in thread)

I’ve had some great moments at Otakon this year, but unintentionally getting a large chunk of my panel audience to start headbanging to “Dance of the Curse” from the Vision of Escaflowne soundtrack is going to be a pretty memorable one.

I'm not noticing any distinct cosplay trends at Otakon so far, but I have seen two Judaus and like at least three Quattros. Wild.

Panelists are starting in 1988, which feels late to me. But they’re hitting on NAFTA, which prompted an angry grumble from the audience, which is right on 🇲🇽

Ok, this panel rules. Great mix of well researched info, personal experience/ perspective from the panelists, and bits of humor to keep it fun.

Twas a good kind of busy day 1 at Otakon. Glad I got to chat with so many folks and big thanks to everyone who came to the Gundam Merch panel. I love researching and adding to that panel and seeing people’s reactions especially when I find the extra weird stuff.
