Just found a footnote in Uncanny #255 (December 1989) that references a previously-unknown-to-me duo of Claremont backup stories from early 1977. Claremont!!!

the guideline in the marvel heroic rulebook is that 1 XP Milestones should be accomplishable multiple times in a single scene. this means that when you play Nightcrawler it's your job to seduce everyone in every scene. thank you incentives
