Unsolicited writing advice, no. 71036: Writing for a living can be fun. But it isn't fun all the time. That's because it's a job, and a job comes with deadlines, responsbilities, pressure, rejection and stress. If you want your writing to be fun ALL the time, then don't make it your job.

It’s always disappointing to finish a book, where it wasn’t terrible enough to stop reading mid-book, but once you’ve finished, it was decidedly not good.
