Someday, private equity and billionaire owners will probably kill mass sports consumption. It will become too expensive, too difficult (or even impossible) to follow and people will stop caring to a large extent. Modern sports culture has only existed for about 150 years. Nothing lasts forever.

A long, but important thread about the ways that Google, the airlines, and credit card companies either rip you off or allow you to be ripped off and then pocket proceeds from said rip offs. All because we don’t properly regulate these businesses.

Wish I could tell that guy that it AI disappeared tomorrow, MY JOB WOULD BE EASIER! My computer would run better, it would be easier to find accurate information, I wouldn’t have to navigate pressure from upper management to use AI, or parse through a lazy co-worker’s AI output to make it sensible.

Had to get into it a little bit with a pharmacist manager about how I don’t think “one-piece flow” and “lean” are probably meaningful terms to most technicians. Most pharmacy techs haven’t gone to business school or been managers, you have to put things in terms that will make sense to their work.

The MyPillow guy is getting dragged into Minnesota's campaign finance court for giving away pillows as campaign promotions at a 4th of July parade, allegedly in violation of a law prohibiting the provision of monetary value to win votes.
