Read this piece “Among Democratic voters, opposition to US aid to Israel exceeds support, 74–20.” However of “the 98 House Democrats who opposed the amendment”….these same Democrats “rejected a view held by three in four Democratic voters. Money helps explain why.”

House Democrats who voted against cutting $3.3 billion in aid to Israel received 3 times as much money from pro-Israel donors as those who voted in favor. www.stephensemler.com/p/why-98-dem...

Democrats who opposed cutting Israel aid got 3 times the money from pro-Israel donors. Voted to cut US aid to Israel: $116,000. Voted against cutting US aid to Israel: $348,000. Data: House votes on House Amendment 235 to H.R>8595, to prohibit funds for Israel, including $3.3 billion in Foreign Military Financing (July 2026); OpenSecrets, pro-Israel money to Congress (1990–2024).

"This is an election that will show the nation whether AIPAC and other billionaire-funded super PACs can... buy a US Senate seat, or whether, within a corrupt campaign finance system, the voices of ordinary Americans—the people of Michigan—can prevail."

Rallying in Michigan, Sanders Says Primary Race Is Between Abdul El-Sayed 'and the Billionaire Class'

In Michigan's Democratic Senate primary, Abdul El-Sayed, backed by Bernie Sanders and AOC, fights against big money and powerful interests. Will the people's voices be heard over billionaire-funded super PACs?

AOC: We can’t be in cahoots with the same money that is oppressing us. It’s not naive, Detroit. It’s what we need, and, most importantly, it’s what you deserve.

AOC: A genocide in Gaza committed with American bombs and financed by our American dollars, while our kids here at home have to ration their inhalers because politicians tell us that healthcare is too expensive.

More war is not the answer. The human toll of this war is already devastating, with dozens of U.S. military personnel and thousands of civilians in Iran and across the region killed & injured. With so many more lives are at stake, Congress must demand and end to illegal and immoral war now.

A US official told The Intercept that recent attacks had wounded “far more” personnel than are reflected in the Pentagon’s current casualty count. They did not provide numbers but said “dozens” had received medical attention.

Probably more helpful to think of them not so much as “Canadian wildfires” but rather “climate change wildfires currently consuming Canada”

Under $184k? You pay 12.4% in Social Security tax. Above that? Exempt. Make $1M? Your effective rate drops to ~2.2%. Billionaires? 0.002%. Lifting the cap funds Social Security for decades. Sen. Patty Murray served a #CupOfJoe with a latte truth to power. ☕️

Beyond immediate steps to secure peace, a broader reckoning is needed to confront the lessons of this disastrous war. ⬇️ “The Trump admin. needs to end its senseless war-first foreign policy. True peace is only possible when we put human dignity first + invest in the hard work of real diplomacy.”
