El-Sayed: "Mike, I'm gonna say it right now, I know you're gonna say no because you're a coward: Five debates, alright? ... By the time we're done, you are not gonna have safe quarter from people holding you accountable to what you've done for them here in Michigan. We will send you back to Florida"

Zelenskyy: “We understand how many missiles for air defense systems are available worldwide. And they are needed in Ukraine every day – every day, we have to defend ourselves against these Russian strikes. If each of our partner countries helps us now, it will save many lives.”

El-Sayed: "If all Mike Rogers got is that 'his name is Abdul, and my name is Mike,' you're gonna be surprised how many people are like, 'Yeah, but that's the Abdul who wants to bring down the price of my groceries and make sure I got healthcare. So yeah, I like Abdul over your Mike from Florida.'"

El-Sayed: "My commitment to Jewish safety is the same commitment that I have to the safety of my own daughters. Because if there is one question of political philosophy that ought to animate us all, it's what would we do if we treated all our kids like they were all of our kids?"

Abdul El-Sayed was outspent 9-to-1 by AIPAC and corporate Super PACs in the most expensive Senate Democratic primary of all time. Last night, he proved that organized people can beat organized money.

BREAKING: The New Mexico Department of Justice has sued Acting AG Todd Blanche and the DOJ, requesting the court for access to unredacted Epstein-related investigative files that the DOJ has been withholding.

Notice DOJ doesn't talk about its efforts to obtain state voter files anymore. They are 0-20 in those cases and today is the beginning of the quiet period -- states can no longer do systematic removals of names from the voter rolls. TLDR: We won!🥳

I hope Stevens is willing to go back out to all of those black churches and barbershops, and really try to help get the skeptical older black folks to get out there & vote for Abdul. I still don’t fully understand why that cohort preferred her over him, but now all that matters is winning.

Not just our democracy. Our literal lives, given MAHA. Our entire national economy and our struggling neighbors, given DOGE. Our communities, given ICE. Any hope of a place in global society given DoD. Any hope of trade, given tariffs. Literally, actually literally, the future of this nation.

Even with nearly 80% of the ad spending, Haley Stevens lost. Money can shape campaigns, but voters still have the final say. - Haley Stevens: $63.9M (79%) - Abdul El-Sayed: $7.3M (9%) - Others: $9.7M (12%)

www.nytimes.com/2026/08/01/u... people who interacted with her during the Kavanaugh hearings say Ms. Collins still harbors frustrations about the continued backlash after a confirmation process she described in 2018 as “more like a caricature of a gutter-level political campaign”

Senator Susan Collins, who supports abortion rights, endorsed Brett Kavanaugh’s nomination for the Supreme Court. It has emerged as a major issue in her campaign for re-election.

What amazes me (and I am taking a higher road than I am thinking by being “amazed”) was that Cassidy was stupid enough to believe a word Kennedy said. Cassidy thus becomes the Susan Collins of the South. Frankly I hope Kennedy’s policies hit the nitwits who voted for Cassidy very, very hard.
