Hazbin Hotel beating out Invincible, Simpsons, Family Guy, and South Park is a big deal for. It shows people wanted this series, people are watching it, and that an indie series with no established history can achieve something. I hope future indie shows are able to achieve the same.

After the statement Saber's CEO put out, I'm giving very serious consideration to quit streaming Snowrunner; a game I have been regularly streaming for over 5 years. Those streams always got the most views, so this would negatively impact me, but I don't know how I can continue in good conscience.

Everything I said was true. Here’s more truth: that statement is remarkably pathetic for the CEO of any company to be making, and combined with the AI use it will do far more damage to Saber’s reputation than it ever could mine. This screed will be many people’s first exposure to the Saber brand.

Hey folks, in case you missed it, I've made the decision to stop streaming Snowrunner indefinitely. The reasons being highlighted in this thread. Today I tried something new, and did a "Straturday" stream, it went extremely well so I might be playing strategy games on weekends going forward. 👍

We had the chance to work on something which by its nature was old school". I can't even comprehend many of the current games that we play these days. They are too complex and too much of an investment. We worked on Halo back in the day, and that game could be distilled down to the simplest of shooting loops, but it was entirely addicting. That is what we wanted to recapture. I hope that games like Space Marine 2 and Wukong are the start of a reversion to a time when games were simply about fun and immersion. We just want to do some glory kills and get the heart rate up a little. For me that is what games should be about. Reply

Hey everybody. I’ve seen the statement by Matt Karch, the CEO of Saber Entertainment, and all of the truly horrendous things he said about me. I think it should be obvious to anyone who reads that statement that he’s lashing out because he did not want people to know there was AI use in the game.

Mark Kern has been “developing” a crowdfunded game for ~10 years. He’s spent most of this time tweeting reactionary bait, histrionic declarations of war, & attacking marginalized folks. He just launched a new game site, seemingly built entirely with AI, saying he needs $3.38M to finish the game.

Invincible VS checked a bunch of boxes: Actual Linux/Proton support (unlike Tokon, which blocks SteamOS/Linux via EAC not being enabled), Not locked into a single proprietary client/app (unlike 2XKO) and No major controversial figures attached (unlike Avatar Legends who had Mike Z )

Being pissed off, hurt, or going through a genuinely ugly personal situation, especially one involving a kid and a high-profile ex is completely human. People get short-tempered, withdrawn, or volatile when their personal life is in the gutter.

I still think the success of The Odyssey absolutely broke all of them. Their core theory was that audiences fundamentally reject "woke" content (always defined by them) and that some savior was going to return movies to being about Great White Men again. The Odyssey obliterated that sort of theory.
