The only thing more annoying than Will Stancil are people feel the need to dunk on Will Stancil. It's like watching nerds fight over whether Captain Kirk gets more tail than Han Solo.

A decade after "It's time for some game theory," it's depressing that somebody can name a Twitter account The Capitol Telegraph or Washington News Network, claim Trump is about to declare war on Denmark, and people will spread it as fact.

Walter Sobchak was right, having an ethos is better than not. Someone who does evil because they think it's right at least has a conscience. Somebody like Lindsey Graham who has no preference for good or evil beyond which will bring him power, is an utter void of humanity.

My understanding of evangelicals comes from going to high school with a bunch of them, some of them the children of major players in the Christian Coalition, and getting dragged to basement youth groups.

Current reading. Sadly it is not about how the Lewis estate decided to reorder the Narnia series based upon a single letter where Jack humored a little boy by telling him it's okay to read the series in chronological rather than publication order.

Cover of The CS Lewis Hoax by Kathryn Lindskoog showing a pencil drawing of ol' Jack looking very donnish.

Things I did not ask for: a commercial with Ice-T's girlfriend telling me how he uses Blue Chew to rail her while he sits there smiling like a guy who's son brought his grandkids to the old folks home for the first time since Easter.

No other word has done more damage to the craft of writing in recent years than “content”. Even if you’re using the word “content” ironically, or as a cute little joke, don’t. When someone calls writing “content” they’re pissing on someone’s hard work & passion. “Content” is Technosatan’s henchword.

In 2036, FetLife is going to be full of extremely wealthy, recently divorced women looking to make up for a decade without a single orgasm.

My latest story for @wired.com is about the uber-wealthy tech guys and CEOs paying matchmakers $50k to set them up with trad wives. "They're not looking for a bossy bitch lady," one told me. "They want a woman who knows how to respect and honor a man." www.wired.com/story/matchm...

We should outlaw trillionaires. I don't mean we should merely make it illegal to be one. We should outlaw them in the traditional Anglo-Saxon sense of removing all legal protections from them and letting people hunt them in the streets.

Every political ad in the Oklahoma Republican primary is, "My opponent Chet Whitesupremacist claims to be a Nazi, but he doesn't even support concentration camps for divorced women. Vote for me, Ted Totenkopf, the only real Nazi in this race."

If someone wants to argue that Platner is being smeared by *falsehoods*, then fine. Make your case. Rationalizing it all as “well, we need to beat Trump” is a signal to all voters that Democrats are hypocrites. Winning matters, values don’t.

I'm beyond court packing at this point. Now I want Dems to pass a law requiring SCOTUS to hear cases in the district they originate, provide no travel funds, and make it a felony for Justices to accept gifts of more than $50. Make these assholes hitchhike to the 9th Circuit.

NEW: The Supreme Court's Republican appointees end civil rights redistricting protections. The majority invoked “our colorblind Constitution” to expand and transform April's Callais decision. Sotomayor, in dissent, highlighted the "grave harms" the majority "inflicts." Tonight, at Law Dork:
