No Games For Genocide

@nogamesforgenocide.com

We are a group of game workers, activists, union organisers, and journalists that care about the games industry, Palestine and all people living under the violence of colonialism and imperialism. https://nogamesforgenocide.com/

Microsoft and Xbox don't care about human lives: they don't care about workers' livelihoods, they don't care about Palestinians murdered by the military they support with their tech partnerships. Sign our pledge to boycott and divest from Microsoft and Xbox: nogamesforgenocide.com/take-action/...

Unions take legal action against Microsoft for allegedly mishandling Xbox layoffs

United Auto Workers (UAW) becomes first major US trade union to vote to divest from Israel Bonds. We call on unions across North America to follow the UAW's lead, & to join forces with workers across the country & world who refuse to be complicit in atrocity crimes & grave human rights violations.

From the No Games for Genocide talk: "And this is just a reminder of what we can accomplish if we come together. Something like a boycott, it doesn't make an impact when there's one of us, but when it's all of us working together, we're able to create something more powerful."

Thank you so much to Game Workers Conference for having us! If you missed it and want to check out our talk "Press F to Organise: Game Workers Against Imperialism", as well as the rest of the brilliant programme of talks, they're still freely available to watch on YouTube ❤️

Humble Grove is the latest on the list of principled game devs to sign our pledge to boycott and divest from Microsoft. Consider following and supporting them and their work - and contacting us if you're a game dev who wants to discuss doing the same!

We've signed the pledge! Humble Grove will not be taking funding from or publishing on Microsoft Platforms going forwards. If you're a game dev, streamer, journalist or even just someone who enjoys playing games, you can sign too.

This wasn't an easy decision to make, but also in some ways it was. It's so important we show solidarity with the Palestinian people in whatever ways we can. I hope to see more game developers follow suit and make the pledge to @nogamesforgenocide.com

Banger episode alert: we have Meghna Jayanth on as a guest! She's here to talk about her upcoming game All Will Rise, and their very cool decision to break a contract with Microsoft over BDS. More news too - new Xbox (don't buy it) and more Mindseye mysteries! LINKS⬇️⬇️⬇️

Microsoft is the priority target for @nogamesforgenocide.com given the tech corp's ties to the IDF, & small indie developer @allwillrise.bsky.social recently broke contract with Xbox to support the campaign. I spoke to them about their decision & why progressives must take up more space in games.

Why a small indie game developer put Palestinian liberation before profit

A small indie game developer joined the No Games for Genocide campaign, even though it meant giving a significant chunk of money back to Microsoft.
