3D Environment Artist and Coffee Rat https://www.artstation.com/dmpickle

What's up, I haven't posted in forever but I'm still alive. Still doing art (with a lot of shit I still need to post). Been doing a lot of self improvement with myself and feel really proud of my fitness journey. Overcoming anxiety, depression, etc. So forgive the one off post but yeah. Get at it.

I don't get how people don't realize that a technology that replaces junior and entry level positions in a field destroys that field. There's no skipping steps. You have to be a junior before you can be a senior, and if you don't have senior people, you don't have a field.

Remember, kids: A real big goal of "AI" is to entirely sever capital from labor, and no, there will be no universal basic income, you can all just starve and die, thanks www.axios.com/2025/08/26/a...

Looking back, I really regret scraping this bust (hah) sculpt of Lady Dimitrescu. Did this while still in school a few years back but never really felt happy with the overall result. Anyways, here you go.

This is my submission based on my own interpretation of the 3D art prompt for Ubisoft NEXT 2025! Check out the video here!: www.youtube.com/watch?v=qZoj... Thank you Ubisoft Toronto for hosting this competition and for giving me the opportunity to both create this scene, and to work with you!

"if I just work hard enough, eventually I'll make it" No. cause if you don't make it that means you didn't work hard enough. And that isn't fair to your efforts. there are so many factors outside of your hands. So much success is luck, and failure is not always your fault. cut yourself some slack.

Been listening to so much Parkway Drive working on my personal project today. Been feeling that urge to pick up bass again, been too long since I'm missing my schecter stiletto.

My main takeaway from this GDC is that there's a generation of incredibly talented young gamedevs that just need someone to give them a chance

It has been a hot minute since I've done more "realism" based art. Working on a mod with a small community taught me more than traditional school at the time.. Anyways, enjoy some samurai horse armor I worked on forever ago. Would love to make some medieval armors one day. #Horse #GameArt

I can’t really put into words how much this job market has sucked my will to want to work. Let alone feeling the desire to keep pushing to be part of this industry as an artist. I love what I do but damn man… I haven’t felt this run down since I left the military years ago.

Art time, I made Blutgang from Fire Emblem Three Houses! I previously made Marianne's relic when FE3H first came out, but wanted to give it another bash after making Aymr for the 5th annviersary last year.

Blutgang model, with texture breakdowns

An unpaid art test I recently did for a studio. Figured I would share it finally considering I'm still in the "We're in a hiring freeze now" phase of the interview... All that aside, I am proud of the result.

Been playing a lot of Marvel Rivals lately. I’m awe struck on their character designs and environments/shaders… like, I’m reaching obsessive levels of “HOW?!” Trying to find out how they made this game look so damn good. It’s fantastic.

I finally get to show off the work I did for "Exercise your Demons!". A stylized, fitness VR title I was in charge of handling the Environment and props for :) Was a pretty cool experience going from rough concepts to full finished production with the team. #3D #GameArt #Unity
