Today on my way to the bus stop a mother on the sidewalk asked me for water for her baby. I went to the Safeway nearby and the biggest crime I witnessed was a regular smart water for one lerson was $3.09!!! What the actual fuck.

The process for getting disability through Social Security is such a prime example of this. Nearly everyone gets turned down on their first time applying. The entire process, with appeals, can take between 1 to 3 years. And during that time you CANNOT work.

The baseline of politics on Disabled people's civil rights and welfare in this country is and has been a mainstream foundational argument that Disabled people are treated so well that the only common sense solution is to treat us badly in order to ward off scammers.

If people are hungry, feed them. If they’re homeless, house them. If they’re sick, treat them. If they’re struggling, provide support. When basic human needs are met, people thrive. Food, housing and healthcare should be given to all.

Here's some perspective: Undocumented immigration isn't a capital offense. It isn't even a criminal offense. People are being brutalized and killed, losing all their possessions, being thrown in camps, separated from their American families and deported over a civil offense.
