Every now and then I have a moment where I realize “none of this shit actually matters”. One of these days I’ll probably do something about that but I don’t think that day is today

The main issue I have with post-metal is that a lot of it is just drawing from existing post-rock and post-hardcore forms and adding “heaviness” rather than actually deconstructing the genre and moving into something new imo

Lowkey the reason “hot takes” have grown off me as a concept is bc most of them are just “I don’t like [thing]” or some other taste-based statement. A proper hot take is based in more than just personal taste and can be discussed and defended in itself imo
