Reacher and Ritchson himself feel like a sort of pocket universe that was never affected by Hollywood's desperate attempt at anti-woke backpeddling, a ridiculous, delightful show about a mountainous genius who hates cops starring the rare libbed-out yelling-in-his-car guy
It is hard to pin down all of the exact hallmarks of direct-to-streaming teen films. SUMMER OF 69 and films like it feel like DCOMs but with the freedom to be horny and snotty in fun ways that TV movies never could be. It is a really overlooked quality for overlooked stories right now.

Day 2 update: Y'all got us 2/5 to the way of this obscene goal overnight. Very comfortable speaking for all parties in that we are floored by the outpouring of generosity and love. It makes an impossible and scary thing just a little bit easier, and it means the world.

Amelia is right. I do not have words. I didn't do a fundraiser when I was going through pancreatic cancer treatment and I certainly didn't want to have to do this one. But I am very fortunate to have friends who bully with love. And never forget the fact I need this at all is a systemic failure!
