I've cleaned up my oldest fountain pen, a Sheaffer Lifetime Flat Top. flic.kr/p/2stquCo It dates to 1925 and works very well. Seeing as it's Jade Green (although now brown in parts due to sulphur gas), I've filled it with Parker Quink Green ink dating to 1972. So, a 101 yo pen using 54 yo ink.

Years ago, a friend came over to listen to some new CD's I'd bought. He took a look at them and said: "Ah, good. I could use something to cheer me up after the week I had at work." He had never heard of Joy Division before. #music
Many years ago, I was given a Parker 75 for my 21st birthday. It stayed in its case unused for several decades. I bought Aurora Blue ink and got it up and running again: flic.kr/p/2m1FByM Yesterday, I took it apart and soakied it in water. Now reassembled and refilled with blue ink. #FountainPen

Why Are Americans So Bloody Stupid? "How did they get so dumb?" But the truth is much darker. Americans aren't naturally stupid - their system was meticulously engineered over 200 years to destroy critical thinking. #america www.youtube.com/watch?v=j9Mu...

My Junghans alarm clock collection! www.flickr.com/photos/nicka... Most from late 1950's to mid 1960's. Some duplicates but they all work well. The Silentic models are very quiet - I had 4 running at once and it was still quieter than one non-Silentic. #photography
Vought holds one of the most powerful jobs in D.C., and he’s used his position to wage a quiet war to change the shape of the entire U.S. government. Here's what you should know about Trump’s shadow president.

"Putin couldn't do a better job" of attacking America. How do we know this isn't Putin's doing?
I condemn the global mainstream media for failing to cover the credible accusations, Greta Thunberg has been abused, beaten, humiliated and mistreated in Israeli custody. It is absolutely essential that the media focus on this story, to put pressure on Israel. www.theguardian.com/world/2025/o... 1/6

Greta Thunberg is held prisoner by Israel at a jail in the Negev. Read what Sweden’s embassy in Israel reports are the conditions of her detention ⬇️ Now just imagine: if Israel treats a world-famous Swedish activist this way, how badly are its prisons abusing Palestinians? 1/

Vought, mastermind behind Project 2025, is clawing back congressionally approved appropriated funds for major infrastructure projects for both New York and Chicago. This is, THIS is the fascist Nazi behind the war on our cities in America and breaking the law. NO ONE VOTED for this!!! #Resist

I've been testing out the camera on my Samsung S24 today. I compared three apps: Camera Open Camera Expert RAW (Samsung's high end Camera app) For me, I found Expert RAW best – when comparing jpeg files. Has anyone here found a better free camera app for the S24 specifically, not the S24 + or Ultra?
