I finally plotted out the basic scenario for the platformer I want to make (yey). Now to iron out my game design doc and start working on systems and character designs. I'm hype. Here's a first draft of the main character, Newt, but I'm sure she will change as I go on.

I'm noticing an inversion happening where rather than barebones, arcade-difficult games being cryptic as hell how to progress due to limitations, massive AAA titles are so afraid you'll miss out on anything they put up guardrails even when they should not be needed.

It’s somehow already been three years since I made this illustration celebrating two of my absolute favorite things. Makes me want to revisit this crossover for the approaching Halloween season.
You know, when you find out that the art you like is made by people you've learned hold views you find wholly repugnant, I don't think you need to disavow ever having enjoyed the art. It's okay to acknowledge you liked or loved that art, but are now putting it aside. That was then, this is now.
