10th June 1986 saw the launch of Network SouthEast at Waterloo station.Seen here with 50023 & 5850/5872 at London Waterloo. Just so happens it's the 10th this week and we'll have a small display at Waterloo station Photo taken by Brian Morrison (Used with permission from Images Unite Photo Library

On the left of the picture a red white and blue class 50 locomotive on the right a red white and blue class 455 , the right hand train has a similar coloured ribbon around it's front.
The platform is in-between the trains.
The platform is full of people inspecting the new livery. 
All this takes place under the glass roof of Waterloo station

Network SouthEast history- on 19/12/1991 the first BREL & Metro-Cammell 4-car ‘Networker’ sets were handed over and displayed to the rail press. The first of the Metro-Cammell sets 465201 is seen inside the Met-Cam Washwood Heath factory. Photo - Colin Marsden
