Here's an Aussie guy describing TKS, but his auto-subtitle thing thinks that instead of Steam, that you can find our game right now "On Steve"

Absurd, sleep-deprived anxiety take: Oh no, what if very-online folks trying to play The Killing Stone - scan my beloved "Lo!" as a typo'd LOL But then some lines made me laugh w/ the cute, moron charm it adds, like idk: "LOL, by the time my heart may *word* its want, O, it wanteth anything else!"

Sometimes you can lose a writer that knows all of the branches and how they intersect and if you lose that person then you risk basically breaking your entire game pipeline

One of the things that, as lead writer, I had to bang into the head of senior leadership sometimes was that writers were not interchangeable even within a project. One writer knew a certain companion inside and out. When we lost that writer, a new writer coming in took twice as long to do the work.

So we had a target for Nith! And there were plenty of details to solve - here is her ortho! - but our character modeler is fantastic and enjoys solving things as much as I do. He's made each of my concepts his own at the 3D stage and the game is better for it.

Nith's "turns" or Nith drawn in very flat perspective from the front, the side, and the back, for a 3D modeler to be able to build her. There are various notes written all over for him to use, and there's an interjected angle of one of the horse heads with its mouth open, for reference. Unlike the previous concepts, this is for clarity and to answer any questions the modeler might have about how she is built. Her arms are out at the sides in an unnatural pose, and in the side view her arm is simply removed and replaced with an armhole, so the modeler can see her garment unobstructed.

Recorded a podcast today where I got to rhapsodize about Darklands (1992) and its unsung role in shaping CRPGs today. Why haven’t I been arrested yet? Maybe the feds who arrest white masc dorks overindulging a special interest - have tragically put that very demographic in charge of the bureau. 🤷🏻

I knew I recognized that voice. Michael Johnston, of recent Obsession fame, was our masc player voice in The Blackout Club. Clearly, it's time to go around telling strangers who don't care about movies *or* games that I "discovered" him
