VR / Linux enthusiast, I guess. Sometimes I do stuff for booth: https://nyae.booth.pm You can find me here too: https://linktr.ee/nyae_ Also, I'm from Spain, so, if I say something weird, now you know why.

I'm at the internship, waiting for a thing to download, while watching r/flightsim, and it's like maaaan I want to be free again t.t I have to finish my final year project this week, and tl;dr it was due for two weeks more, but now I have to do it for the sunday It sucks so much

I moved a folder with lots of pictures to another drive, but didn't overwrite all of them, then deleted the original folder from my NVMe It turns out that a good chunk of the pictures in the HDD were corrupted and because NTFS is shit and doesn't have snapshotting or resiliance, i've lost them

For the last few months, I've been increasingly annoyed at how MSFS 2020 feels like shit when flying Yesterday, I gave a go to X plane 12 after knowing that they have volumetric clouds now, and a demo Holy fucking shit it's overwhelmingly superior to MSFS Not even close, it's unreal

I have absolutely no idea of what I'm talking about, but could we use DXVK to translate dx11 code to Vulkan, and then use the extension for variable rate shading? This could be great for VR, and it would surprise me if valve doesn't do this for the steam frame www.khronos.org/blog/vulkan-...

For the few #Nvidia #linux users, the vulkan extension to fix the descriptor issue (aka, dx12 perf loss) is already out, and Nvidia just released a new beta driver that implements it. Theoretically it should also help the #intel driver too The bad news is that vkd3d doesn't support it yet

My god, I just joined the #vrchat instance capacity stress test. 433 peak people, 5 frames max, 100% cpu usage. Even the microphone died at around 280something people. It was pretty cool regardless.
