P6 have been learning about the importance of buying Fairtrade chocolate and digitally designed their own versions of Fairtrade chocolate 🍫 😋
P2 enjoyed cooking with apples from the Oakgrove harvest and tasted some yummy Oakgrove apple jelly 😋
P5 enjoyed the story 'Actual Size' during a maths-themed story and milk during Maths Week Scotland. The class compared their hands to a gorilla's hand!
P5 were responsible citizens and did an excellent job of litter picking in the school playground!
P4 had a busy Maths week. Inspired by the book Dinos Love Numbers, they compared their fastest running with the fastest dinosaur and measured the length of the tallest dinosaur. They also enjoyed a “Maths and Mates” session where they taught maths to their favourite class teddy.

P1 read the book 10 dots and set ourselves a challenge of making our own pictures with dots.

P3 completed their first Maths Challenge yesterday - learning how to make paper fortune tellers. We wrote maths questions inside and can’t wait to try them out with our families at the Open Afternoon.
Primary 4 made wedges with potatoes from the school garden. We made 3 flavours: salt, cheese and siracha. We took a class vote and the siracha was voted as the best flavour! #PlantGrowHarvestCook

P4 had an excellent morning exploring the Willow Tearooms. They identified shapes and colours used by Charles Rennie Mackintosh, made some stencil art and enjoyed some delicious cake in the tearoom.

P4 had a great trip with park rangers Alexandra and Denise. We did a clean air experiment, using fungus on sycamore trees to test how clean the air is in different parts of the park. We saw lots of wildlife, including lots of squirrels and a grey heron up close!

They made awesome Wilomina drawings before our visit and 10 winners will receive a signed book. A massive thanks to the school for their support and enthusiasm. We’re going to visit 11 more schools in the coming month. And thanks to Waterstones for supplying the books. It was such a special event!
