Having all my windows wide open may have temporarily cooled down my flat to something nearing liveable temps but the downside is I now apparently have spiders, that I can only describe as being the size of Shelob, hanging around... And people wonder why I prefer winter.
Thank you to that unexpected lightning storm and heavy rain for dropping the temperature in my house. I'd forgotten what comfortable felt like.
