Tip for level designers: Get one of these, go to a cafe, and relax. Many of my best level design ideas existed on paper first. Tip for notepad manufacturers: Many level designers would be excited about hexagon patterns instead of square grids.

I keep seeing vibe coded web app version of games, and they all kind of look the same in a way I can’t quite put my finger on. It’s weird, because I’ve never seen hand-coded web games that look like this. Wherever the machine learned this UI, it wasn’t from other games.

This graph is the result of a very minor personal victory. I made a card game called Big Apple to play with my 2yo, and the card count was built for 2p. It ended up with awkward rules for 3p & 4p. I've been turning over in my head for months ways to fix this, and I think I've finally solved it.

Carrying in the groceries earlier, my 3yo saw what was in the box and exclaimed, “You bought a BIG avocado!” …It is a watermelon.
