Whenever I come on here at night, I often wonder what percentage of us are under the influence of the sinsemilla (You don’t have to out yourselves, it’s an idle kind of curiosity)

If you’re white and have ever run a red, drove with a headlight out, or gone 80 in a 70mph zone (I’ve done all three) and gotten away with it, maybe throw a small bill Rachel’s way so this young guy doesn’t suffer undue punishment for doing the same. v: colocha_rachel $: ColochaRachel

Hi all. I’m coming to y’all with a personal need. If you’ve been connected to me since Twitter, you may remember that I have a young man/mentee in my life from our time in St. Louis. He owes some court fees for some ongoing racist St. Charles County shit and I want to help him pay them.

Selfie of me with Kelvin my chosen family member wearing a backward white hat and a flannel shirt.

The Rejection Letters keep on hitting! Woohoo!!! Rent due on the first as well as all kinds of bills and the turn around on Jobs telling me to get fucked is down to like 9 hours. V:@/JKNotSoBad C:$:/JKNotsobad PP:@/comfortingmoo Everything helps. and gets a moxie picture. *screams in gratitude*

I have a feeling nobody saw this, so please see it now. Imagine being the artist who painted those everything-but-the-nips tiddies on that plane. Thank goodness they had a full photo lab on site to document it?!

My photographer grandpa worked in sales, like his dad, until he was trained in photography in the service during WWII. Then he and a buddy absconded with the equipment and started a business together! Here he is in a most iconic image.

Man in a WWII army uniform standing next to a large format camera on a tripod. Behind him is an airplane with the image of a lounging woman with her top open and the words “sleepy time gal.” This is one of my most treasured photographs of my grandfather.

I’ll fudge the dates here to say that if I were either of my grandmas, I‘d be a dime store clerk or not be working. If I get to be my grandpas, I’d either be working in a plastics factory or running a portrait photography studio. Funny enough, that studio was 4 blocks from my house.

Enough “what would you do on the commune questions” If you got sent back 100 years and were given your grandparent’s job, what are you doing?

Today was really hard, emotionally speaking. Seeing people I previously thought of as friends use the circumstances of a person's pain to make jokes was really jarring. In their minds, it's mocking the Mayor and her behavior. But all I'm seeing is 'haha wiener' and minimizing the pain of harassment.

I genuinely don’t know who needs to hear this, but sexual harassment and violence allegations aren’t joke fodder. Including when the victim is a man. And when the harasser is someone you find politically objectionable. And when the jokester is a cool bar that’s always been pretty good at allyship.

PSA for your CSA (or farmer’s market, or backyard) midsummer veggies: my csa shared this recipe and it’s incredible. And very easy! It’s just zucchini, onion, chilis, egg, flour. Simple simple. www.koreanbapsang.com/hobak-buchim...

I’ve been a genealogy dork for close to 30 years. One of the kind of cool (but occasionally treacherous) things about the evolution of family research sites into more social spaces is you end up sharing notes with someone halfway across the world.
