That's right, Lewis is a player, and Old Tom, the groundskeeper of Brindley Manor, has stepped into the storytelling seat.
He also campaigned for Amnesty (IIRC after playing the intense scenes of Picard’s torture in “Chain of Command”), and, having realised that his father’s abuse of his mother might well have been fuelled by untreated PTSD, for veterans’ mental health charities. He really tried to make the world better

Captain Picard is easily Patrick Stewart's best role. But a close runner-up is Avery Bullock from American Dad. A role based entirely on giving Stewart the silliest lines and him delivering them with such intense gravitas. RIP
