Modern day Ed stalking Stede, at first Stede is oblivious to it but after a while Ed wants to be acknowledged so starts making it more obvious, lingering long enough for Stede to notice *something* isn't right. Ed goes into Stede’s home and purposefully leaves things untidy-

Summary: Based on the prompts from day 4 of Ofmd Whumptober: Gagged/muzzled - Human shield - Assumed dead
Ed has tracked down where Ned has been holding Stede hostage, and now he needs to do something drastic to save him.
“Let him go,” Ed ordered, gun raised and aimed.
Ned laughed and held his prisoner a little closer. He had a manic look about him - maybe one that conveyed he knew the jig was up, but Ed knew better than to expect him to give in so easily. He was holding his hostage by the hair whilst pressing a gun to his temple, taking slow, calculated steps backwards so Ed didn't have a clear shot.
“Do you know how much your little pet shrieks and babbles when I torture him?” Ned asked, shaking Stede in annoyance as he forced him back with another yank of his hair. “I love it when they scream but even for me it was too much.”](https://cdn.bsky.app/img/feed_thumbnail/plain/did:plc:ig24ghjb47ribr5g74yxozjo/bafkreiergeriozurif7hmka6rm4xidnm6akudetptbpk7o6mq4vmhkkxle)
