Reminder: the "data center boom"is mostly speculative. AI companies lose money everytime you ask it sthg. Companies trying to build these data centers are gonna be trying to lease/offload huge concrete slabs in 5 years. It's unlikely benefits to municipalities/counties will ever materialize.

The accounting is in: In Oregon there are 111 data centers. The TOTAL number of people employed at data centers is just 2,630, or 0.1% of the labor force. Those 100 data centers consumer 23% of all electricity used in Oregon. Meanwhile, electricity rates skyrocket as more centers are built.

If Democrats want to regain working people, they must disavow Big Money. They must hammer economic populism — and have a laser focus on the cost of living crisis in America. There’s no way the party can speak for or represent the working class in America if it's beholden to corporate interests.

#cannabis in western medicine is treated as if the medicinal value is a side effect of the "psychoactivity". But, i believe when you become well acquainted with the plant, you realize, The psychoactivity of the plant is a side effect of the medicinal value.

Sitting in the post-op with my mother waiting for the drugs to wear off so she can stand up. This has been the worst part.

This Flock camera is running obsolete, end-of-life software. - It's on Android 8.1, released in 2017, support ended in 2021 - It's on Android patch level 2018-06-5 - It's running Linux 3.18, released in 2017 This shit is like 8 or 9 years old, and full of vulnerabilities.
