I quilt & design quilt patterns. Chocolate, cooking, traveling are also squeezed in around the edges. And I'm on edge a lot these days. https://opquilt.com/linkinbio/

HELP! I need to take a little “gift” to a quilting retreat next month for each of my six table-mates and am stumped as to what to do. Pincushion? Notion? Needlecase? What’s the best quilt retreat favor that you’ve given or received? (Image just for ideas)

Just a sample idea of pincushions

"People prefer to text, even though research shows that phone calls and in-person conversations make people feel more connected to one another." Loved this. I always say that texts are data transfers, not conversations (borrowed from somewhere!).

reading @gbullard.bsky.social's Against Convenience really made me think about how many of our beloved conveniences come at the cost of our relationships and community--so I wrote about it: www.theatlantic.com/culture/2026...

I have many good friends who are AI-promoters, but for me the dissonance is too great to get on the AI train. What about the pollution from data centers? What about the issues raised in this video clip? The wholesale “theft” of original work? Too many unknowns, I think. #AI

Asked whether OpenAI should face legal ramifications for the Hugging Face incident, Lina Khan tells @cwarzel.bsky.social, “It seems that this was not just an outlier incident … There is a very real question around intent and when that should actually attach.” theatln.tc/t9IwiQTz #TAF26
