The Hudsonian Godwit showed nicely on the Stour estuary early this morning, other Suffolk highlights have been a Spoonbill at Hen reedbeds on Sunday and a couple of Caspian Gulls at Southwold Hbr. Lesser Weever Fish was a (safely returned) new one for the mini species list off Southwold Pier!

Ebernoe this morning: nightingales still around but generally skulky at Furnace Meadow, two Hawfinches over, 39 other sp. Zillions of purple hairstreaks, but no emperors, small copper, s skippers, m whites, single silver washed frit the butterflies on offer.

A slow start to the seawatching today but it improved as the day went on. The highlights from 13hrs of watching include the first Arctic Terns of the year with 81 east, 230 'commic' Terns, 91 Common Terns, 23 Arctic Skuas, two Great Skuas, three Black-throated Divers and a Manx Shearwater.
