inversion of the idle genre would be to make a game where you micromanage absolutely everything. it's a turn-based simulation game and if you don't instruct a character to breathe during their turn they just die

always interesting when i see a french person online engaged in the traditional french art of webcomic blogging. other artists occasionally indulge in this too (hourly comics etc) but drawing regular webcomics about your life has been enduringly endemic to France since at least 2003. i was there

talking to my brother about what I perceived as quirky things in the older Pokemon games probably just being normal Japanese things. I mentioned the little building transitions between towns that just have a guy standing at a desk and he immediately identified them as Kōban / police boxes. OH.

the Saffron city guard from Pokemon in his little building says "You can go on through."

i think whatever replaces Discord should let us move little avatars around. this has nothing to do with my "bring physicality to social media" agenda i just think it'd be a good rational sensible thing to have. oh yeah and give them little pixel art outfits & items too (my breath gets heavier,)

we lost our way when disk space started allowing for fully-voiced game protagonists. the only things i want to hear out of my character's mouth is "uhmf" (jumping) or "oueurghh" (mauled by bear)
