Hey Bluesky! Emerging from my dissertation-formatting cave to share that I defended my PhD last week! So many incredible people helped me reach this point, especially over the last few months as I scrambled to finish in time. I’m lucky to be surrounded by such good friends.

Some angiosperm groups are highly diverse, yet their flowers are surprisingly uniform. Investigating Mimosa flowers, we found that floral morphology is homogeneous and constrained, especially for traits linked with inflorescence, suggesting that development and function canalize floral evolution.
